This should be an adventure- on many levels!
First Blog... First Westy... First Time Camping as a family...
Here "it" is... from the add that caught my eye.
I'm not sure at this point if "it" is a "He" Westy, or a "She" Westy. (I'm leaning towards a "He" right now)
We went last Sunday and gave it a once-over and a quick test drive.
While on that drive, the seller had a few more responses to the freshly-posted-that-morning ad... but luckily he agreed not to call anyone back until we had time to discuss it on our way home.
30 minutes and quite a few discussed topics later, we agreed to call him back and made the offer. That was Sunday. Three days latter we picked up our "new" Westy and brought "Him" (or is it "Her"?) home.
For hopefully better (not worse!!) we are on the Road Less Traveled... and well on the way to getting Westy-itis.
This will be our second experience with a VW Vanagon.
Our first Vanagon was an '85. We really hated to sell that one, and wish we could have held onto it... but that's a story all to it's own!!
THIS story, will be all about our journeys with our first Westy...
